Protection of Waste Water Facilities
Polibrid 705 Elastomeric Membrane Long term protection of concrete surfaces in waste water service has always been one of the greatest challenges in corrosion control. Concrete tends to be damp, porous, irregular in surface roughness and is highly prone to microbiological induced corrosion (MIC). In order for a lining to work on concrete it must have a unique combination of physical characteristics. Polibrid 705 is a thick, tough, holiday free elastomeric membrane with extremely low water vapour transmission rates and superior abrasion and chemical resistance. Polibrid 705 exhibits superior elongation and high tensile strength bridging normal shrinkage cracks. Polibrid 705 covers irregular surfaces such as exposed aggregate in one coat. Polibrid 705 is recommended on concrete lining or masonry surfaces in sewage facilities, sedimentation basins, anaerobic digestors, sludge tanks, chlorination basins, influent and effluent channels, tunnels, concrete lined pipes, odour control structures.
