Polymer Group’s range of high performance strata stabilisation injection materials are formulated for use in mining, construction and geothermal applications. The range comprises a series of products which provide strata stabilisation for conditions typically encountered in tunnelling, drilling and mining environments.

Aqua Stop

Polymer Group’s Aqua Stop is a solvent free, 2-component, high strength polyurethane injection system. It is a rapid setting water stop and is also used for ground and strata consolidation. The system contains fire retardants and is self-extinguishing.

CF Foam

Polymer Group’s CF Foam is an economical (low density) cavity filling foam based on polyurea silicate chemistry. Its rapid foaming and flame resistance characteristics make this an ideal product to fill voids in coal seams and fractured strata. The maximum exotherm reached during foaming is only 90°C, well under the accepted level for use in coal mines. CF Foam can be used in wet environments where it shows good adhesion to wet surfaces and will not absorb water

Ground Bond

Ground Bond is a highly reactive, solvent free, hydrophobic, 2-component, high strength polyurethane foam injection system. It is rapid setting and has a foam expansion factor of 3, making this an ideal product for rapid ground and strata stabilization. The system contains fire retardants and is self-extinguishing.

Features :

A fast reacting polymer with strength and resiliency

Utilizes foaming agents with Zero ODP and Zero GWP

It is a two component system, with both components mixed in equal volume proportions (1:1 by volume) using a two-component injection pump coupled with a static in-line mixer.

Foam expansion of 3 times without reaction with ground water, and up to 8 times when in contact with and mixing with water.

Will penetrate cracks greater than 0.15mm.

 

ReZolution Bolt Hold

ReZolution Bolt Hold  is a fire resistant, instant gelling, rapid setting injection system based on urea silicate technology.

It is designed to structurally grout ground anchors into rock strata.

 

ReZolution Silcrete TSL

ReZolution SilCrete TSL is a two component hard, tough, elastomeric material that is applied through low pressure plural component machinery. No heat is required. The product is flexible with good elongation and high early compressive and tensile strengths. Adhesion is outstanding to even moist surfaces. 60 to 70% of the physical properties are achieved in 1-2 hours (depending on ambient temperature) although set up time is only 10-15 minutes.

STRATA BOND

Strata Bond is a two component, 1:1 by volume, fire resistant injection system based on urea silicate technology. Using a two-component injection pump coupled with a static in-line mixer head it is designed to rapidly stabilise strata and coal by imparting structural strength and flexibility. Strata Bond can be used in wet environments where it exhibits good adhesion to wet surfaces, but will not absorb water.

In addition to being fire resistant owing to its unique silicate chemistry, the maximum exotherm reached during crosslinking is well under the maximum 150°C allowed as specified by the NSW Government Trade and Investment Mine Safety Guideline MDG 3608 August 2012, Appendix D1-TM003.

Uses:

Rapid stabilisation and strengthening strata and coal

Rapid consolidation of other substrates such as sand, gravel, fractured road rock etc.

Crack repairs above and below water.

Features:

  • Similar reaction and cured properties in dry or underwater situations
  • Penetrates cracks greater than 0.15mm
  • Does not expand its cured volume. Does not absorb water
  • Very good adhesion to wet surfaces

STRATA  BOND Thixotropic :

This version will, upon machine mixing, instantly form a smooth pumpable gel which is thixotropic, ie it exhibits shear thinning.  This enables the material to flow easily under the pressure/force eg through the injection machine.  When the pressure/pumping stops, the material reverts to the gel and stops flowing thereby preventing the material from running out of cracks or adjacent injection ports.
