Moulding & Theming

Products comprise rigid and flexible spray foams, machine grade and handpour grade rigid and flexible moulding foams and casting elastomers.

Integral skin polyurethane rigid and flexible moulding foams consist of a cellular core and discreet non-cellular surface layer forming a sandwich structure.  The core and surface layers consist of one and the same material and are formed in a single operation (ie not laminates).

Description

RIGID FOAMS

CastorThane 35M

Castorthane 35M rigid spray foam is a new generation high performance rigid insulation and moulding foam incorporating 14% renewable resource plant oil. It has a water and HFC dual gas blowing mechanism, especially designed for spray insulation. The reactivity profile of Castorthane 35M has been designed to provide optimum coverage (yield) in comparatively cold application conditions and on metal substrates.  Suitable for thin film initiation and DTV (direct to vertical) substrates.

CastorThane 50M

CastorThane 50M rigid spray foam is a new generation high performance rigid insulation and moulding foam incorporating 10% renewable resource plant oil. It has a water and HFC dual gas blowing mechanism, especially designed for spray insulation. A low density spray foam suitable for spraying moulds with good demould properties.

EnduraThane SP300

Endurathane SP300 is a 100% water-blown high density rigid polyurethane spray foam.

Endurathane SP300 is used to provide additional strength to a range of plastic materials, including abs, polystyrene, polycarbonate etc.

Endurathane GP38M

Endurathane GP38M is a fully formulated 40 kg/m3 moulding foam polyol blend designed to react with Endurathane Part A isocyanate to make a general purpose rigid polyurethane foam with good moulding characteristics.

Endurathane GP38M is formulated with HFC as the blowing agent which has zero ozone depleting potential, as well as below the “Greenstar” VOC threshold.

Endurathane 245-60

ENDURATHANE 245/60 is a medium density rigid polyurethane moulding foam suitable for handpour or machine application.
Frequently referred to as structural polyurethane foam, the prime characteristic is a sandwich structure consisting of a microscopic cellular core and discreet noncellular surface layers. The core and surface layers consist of one and the same material and are formed in a single operation (ie not laminates). The properties of these foams can be tailored readily to a wide variety of end-uses by variation of the chemistry of the components or of the processing conditions.
This is achieved far more easily than is possible for comparable systems such as thermoplastics.

Endurathane GP48M

Endurathane GP48M is a fully formulated 48 kg/m3 moulding foam polyol blend designed to react with Endurathane Part A isocyanate to make a general purpose rigid polyurethane foam with good moulding characteristics.

Endurathane GP48M is formulated with HFC as the blowing agent which has zero ozone depleting potential, as well as below the “Greenstar” VOC threshold.

Endurathane 500-60

ENDURATHANE 500/60 is a high density rigid polyurethane moulding foam suitable for handpour or machine application.

Frequently referred to as structural polyurethane foam, the prime characteristic is a sandwich structure consisting of a microscopic cellular core and discreet non-cellular surface layers.

Endurathane 100-60

Endurathane 100-60 is a water blown 100 kg/m3 moulding foam designed to react with Endurathane Part A isocyanate to make a rigid polyurethane foam with good moulding characteristicsEndurathane 100-60 is suitable for handpour or machine application.

The combination of smooth, hard skins and good mechanical properties at low gross weights coupled with good processing characteristics and wide design freedom, makes Endurathane 100-60 ideal for applications such as decorative and ornamental mouldings, furniture, wall-panelling (wood grain reproduction) panel doors, ornamental legs, decorative drawer fronts and cupboard doors, and many other conventionally wooden products.

Foaming pressures are very low and moulds are lighter and less expensive than those used for thermoplastic injection moulding.

FLEX FOAMS

Endurathane SprayFlex 200

Endurathane Spray-Flex 200 is a rapid set, two-component, fire retarded, flexible polyurethane spray foam, exhibiting excellent re-bound properties.

Designed specifically for the theming and movie prop industry to produce items such as flexible tree bark; soft, impact absorbing panels eg ‘stunt foam’ rock walls; crash pads etc.

Endurathane 8550SR NEW!

ENDURATHANE 8550SR is a medium density semi-rigid polyurethane moulding foam suitable for handpour or machine application.

The combination of smooth skins and good mechanical properties at low gross weights coupled with good processing characteristics and wide design freedom, makes ENDURATHANE 8550SR & 8535SR suitable for applications such as headrests, armrests, furniture componentry, child restraint seats, and decorative items where a semi-rigid material offers ease of demould.

Endurathane HP506

Endurathane HP506 is hand pour grade flexible foam comprising a polyol blend containing HFC Blowing Agent.

Endurathane HP506 Polyol is a two component Integral Skin type flexible foam.

The flexible foam system can be used for moulding chair arm-rests, other furniture components, automotive parts and for making movie and film props.

Mattress Foam

Endurathane MATTRESS FOAM is a water-blown, hand pour grade flexible foam.  It is CFC and HCFC free.

Endurathane MATTRESS FOAM Polyol is used in combination with Endurathane MATTRESS FOAM Part A as a two component system to produce an Integral Skin type, very flexible moulding foam.

The system can be used for moulding chair arm-rests, other furniture components, automotive parts and for making props.

MOULDING RESINS

Hyterion S-245 Silicone resin

A two-component, room-temperature-vulcanising (RTV-2) silicone rubber. It is an excellent mould making material because it is easy to process, highly flexible, has good release properties and yields perfect reproductions. Hyterion S-245 RTV-2 silicone rubber is tailored to all practical requirements, ensuring minimum effort and allowing castings of any complexity to be made. No matter what material is used for casting – whether wax, plaster, concrete, GRC, resins; low or large number of castings, maximum fidelity of reproduction is achieved.

Endurathane CSX270 Series

The Endurathane CSX270 series is a blend of polyols fillers, catalyst and pigment which reacts at room temperature to produce a polyurethane elastomer suitable for the encapsulation of electrical components, and the making of moulds, models and prototypes.

Medium cure and medium demould times are a feature of the 270 series which enable high productivity and good mould turnaround.  The demould time and full cure can be reduced with post-curing. The 270 series feature cold processability and cure as low as 0 °C.  The Endurathane 270 series also possess excellent machineability.
